Lichtenberg Painting: Filigree Owl

This is for an original painting by the artist Leslie Casilli. This piece was created by hooking up the wood canvas to a high voltage electrical charge, allowing the energy to pass through the wood and score it in fractal branch like patterns. A unique design is then created inspired by the natural forms the Lichtenberg process created, and then hand painted by the artist in Black 3.0 acrylic paint in many layers to achieve a gorgeous “black hole” appearance. It is then signed on the back by the artist.

Each Lichtenberg painting comes in a hand-made Hairfoot Productions hardwood frame. It comes ready to hang with a sawtooth hanger on the back. It measures approx. 11”x13” framed.

This design is one of a kind. It is not a decal, sticker, or any other reproduced form. The crispness of the design can be misleading to some, but is a testament to the painstaking precision the artist takes in creating it.
